Default Charging 2 LiPo with 2 charges and common ground

Some instructions warns against charging two different LiPo packs with common minus, if charged with individual chargers. I actually once burned a Hyperion charger EOS0606 on exactly this setup together with a EOS720i.
But what is the reason for this issue? The charges has already common ground trough the supply, so I imagine there will be no problem? My setup is eg.: 2s2200 LiFe and 3s2200 LiPO. Both with disconnected plus wire in the contacts. LiFe sits directly in receiver, LiPO is in a controller for retractable gear or for eg. a turbine which receives signal through usual black/red/white from receiver.

Now I always charge with 2 even chargers (iCharger 206B). What can go wrong?
