Default Batteries flipping low voltage in less than a minute

I bought a couple batteries and trucks used and the one battery worked fine for a few months and the other is new to me. Now both batteries in both trucks flip the low voltage in my traxxas vxl esc in less than 1 min. When I hook them up to my hitec x1 ac charger they are reading above 4v per cell and will recharge back to 4.2v.

At first I thought my esc bad but now that I have a second truck doing same thing thinking its charger or maybe even batteries. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

I'm leaning toward the batteries are toast. They maybe charge and not puffy but they maybe old and not hold the charge.

Thinking you are right. Grabbed a new battery on Amazon and it will be here tomorrow. Hopefully all runs well then.
