Default Connecting 14 guage Battery Wire to Battery Input on Kill Switch

Rookie question - I have a Duralite 9.9v battery with 14 gauge wire leads. I need to connect this 9.9v battery to the battery input lead of a Rcexl Kill Switch which has thin servo type wires and a universal connector. Am I asking for trouble (heat, lower voltage, etc.) or what do I need to do to make this necessary connection? Many thanks. Chic

If i have to connect two very different calble diameters i always use mpx connectors. Easy to solder for thick and thin lines.
