I purchased an 8-cell transmitter pack (NiMH) that cycles over 1700 Mah and is rated at 1650. I also purchased a 5-cell, 720 Mah, NiMH pack for a fun fly that I recently finished. It cycles near 770. The 1650 tranny pack seems like the best purchase I've made in recent memory. I enjoy being able to fly ALL day.

I also have SR packs that I'm very pleased with but they cost a bit more. I have OFB's that swear by Mr. NiCad.

You can't go wrong with any of the 3, and you sure can't beat the extremely low cost shipping from Radical RC.

good luck,

Kevin

Dave at over at RadicalRC uses mainly Sanyo cells (unless otherwise noted on his website), so his packs turn out to be quite good in terms of performance. I've got 5 of his packs now, an 1100mAh NiCD TX pack, a 1100mAh NiCD flight pack (for my electric), a 700mAh NiCD RX pack, a 720mAh NiMH RX pack, and a 1650mAh RX pack. The TX pack is great (it's in my JR XF631 and will last all day), and I'll be getting a 1650mAh pack for my 9CA real soon. The 1100mAh flight pack which I use with my Soarstar is an awesome pack if you need an 8 AA sized pack. It matches my 600mAh pack in terms of shear power and weight, but lasts nearly as long as my 1600mAh Radio Shack pack. My 4 cell 700mAh NiCD pack charges up to capacity (unlike my Hitec 600mAh packs that charge only to 500-550), and weighs a bit lighter than the other standard packs that I own. My 4 cell 720mAh pack is in my Uproar and charges exactly to it's capacity. I've flown seven 15 minute flights on one charge without issue. My 4 cell 1650mAh pack is in my retract equipped Mustang and charges to 1750.

I'm a huge advocate for Dave's products at my club. Cheap prices, quality cells, good construction, and reasonable shipping!

I agree with everyone about the quality and service that Dave provices. I have the 1650 packs in both my TX and my sons and we can fly all day, heck all weekend, without a charge.

Great batteriy packs.

We distribute some battery packs to hobby shops and when I need something that we don't have Dave is the place I go. Also great prices on his other items. Not affilated and have not sold anything to Dave in years BTW
