Default NiMH initial charging question

When charging a new NiMH receiver pack for the first time, is there any special procedure required?

Default RE: NiMH initial charging question

With either NiMh or NiCad, you should always do two or three forming charges. This is charging the battery for 15 to 16 hours at a rate of 0.1C followed by a discharge at about 1/4C. This should be done on all new batteries or batteries that have been stored or inactive for a prolonged period. Prolonged is a debatable time but usually 1 month or more of inactivity.
