Hey all,

Just want to pose a question to the forum for some good discussion. Question: Do you prefer a peak detecting charger that you program before charging, or do you prefer a peak detecting charger that you do not program, just plug in your battery and charge? When answering this question and giving your opinion, assume both chargers have the same number of outputs, the same max. charge rate, both operate from either an AC or DC power source, both are equal as far as discharge/cycling capabillities (i.e both have it or both don't), and both charge only NiCad and NiMh chems. If you do prefer a charger that also discharges, feel free to explain why. If you prefer a charger that also does Li-on/poly explain why if you wish. If you just prefer the charger that came with your radio, or a timed, non peak detecting charger, give your opinion on that as well. Let's try to do this without mentioning, or at least with minimal mention of any specific charger brands. I think it will be an interesting discussion. Thanks
