Default What powersupply should I buy

What would be a good power supply to use for most any shop application as well as with the Multiplex LN-5014 Multi Charger ?

The Tower suggested power unit , Hobbico 12V DC Power Supply with 5V Tap.
It plugs into an AC wall outlet and converts the AC to DC voltage,
so DC chargers can be used in the workshop of your home.

Warning: The 5V tap WILL NOT work with the NEW STOCK COMMUTATOR LATHES
because they draw between 5 and 7 amps. This load WILL OVERLOAD
and damage the 5V tap.
So , Is their a need to look for a more powerful power supply? I have a Accu-Cycle and it doesnt need a seperate power supply. I dont know much about the componets.,the Multiplex LN-5014 was recommended by Red Scoffield who is an expert in batteries and chargers. I dont remember reading anything about the additional power supply needed.

thanks, Bill

Default RE: What powersupply should I buy

Take a look at any of these, you should get one having at least 8 amp capability.

Here are three on line sources at good prices.
