Great Planes new DC charger/cycler
I got my pc power supply now, but it won't work. how do I turn it on correctly? I have found that by connecting some wires the fan will go on and I have found the correct wires to be the 12volt out put, but when I connect my charger to them the fan shuts down.
I needs some help please.
thanks,
Seth

I bought a 300 watt AT PS with 8 amps for cheap. Then I put banana plugs on it as well as RCA plugs. I still plan to use my ATX PS when I can get the resistor.

Thanks to everyone who has read and responded to this thread. I have enjoyed reading it, and have learned how to build a power supply to use with my Triton enjoying the whole time. I have never had a thread on any forum have so many views as this one, and I really appreciate the forum we have. I’m gong to shift gears a bit and ask an operational question. Perhaps you can help me, or benefit along with me by reading the future responses to this thread.
OK, guys. I have a Triton charger procedure question. As you may or may not know (for those new to the forum) the “Auto” function is not to be used on packs smaller than 600 Mah, AA size cell. I have a PBF 270 Mah, 4 cell, 4.8 volt, I don’t know the cell size, pack that I need to setup in a memory. I will list the steps I need to address, please reply with the needed information or correct my omissions to help me fill in the blanks.
Thanks!
I want to set this up in a memory for recall later. I’m looking at the “Programming Flowchart 1” “Main Menu”
I start be selecting the memory I want to use, say number 1
I select batt type – NiCd
Number of cells – 4
Battery Capacity – 300 Mah (I can choose 250 or 300)
Charge Current - ? What do I set for charge current?
Discharge Current - ? What do I set for discharge current?
Discharge Volt/cell - ? What do I set for discharge volts/cell?
Thanks to all those who take the time to read this and respond.

The Triton is reviewed in the March 2003 issue #200 of R/C Report. I got mine in the mail yestersay, so watch your mailbox and please post thoughts and comments on the review. I'll be posting tonight myself.
Thanks!
