Can you charge a LiIon through a voltage regulator
I've just got my first Li Ion battery, along with a 5.6v regulator to run in place of my 6v NiCAD receiver/servo battery. This is in a pylon racer.
Can anyone tell me if its OK to charge the Li Ion battery through the voltage regulator, or should I bypass the regulator and charge the battery directly?
I was not sure if the battery would charge properly with the voltage regulator cutting the charging voltage to 5.6v. My 700 mAhr two cell pack is currently charging at 400 mAhr and 7.9v right now.
Any comments would be appreciated.

I would think you might not want charge through a regulator..
I would charge the battery directly..

RE: Can you charge a LiIon through a voltage regulator
if there is a charge jack on the switch you can charge through the reg. remember the reg only works when the switch is on. the charge jack goes directly to the battery not through the reg. i have mipi miricle switches with regs and charge right through the jack. i thought the same thing when i started . no problem
