Default Ni-MH EXCHANGE FOR LIPO

Can you use a Ni-MH in a plane that uses a Li po if voltage and mAh are the same or at least voltage? If no WHY? Can you use a charger from a LIPO for a Ni-MH or opposite? Thanks Ron

Default RE: Ni-MH EXCHANGE FOR LIPO

Yes, you can use a Nihm pack in a plan that is set up for lipo. It will weight more per Mah however and the voltage cut off won't be the same so you'll have to look into that.

Lipo are to be charged ONLY on a charger that is labeled for thier charging. BAD things will happen if you try to charge them on a NiMh only charger. and vice versa for NiMh on a lipo only charger.
Many smart chargers will do both, but you can bet it will be labeled that it can.
