Default NIMH Charging issues HELP HELP

OK Boys & Girls..............I just had a NIMH battery failure issue that I won't go into.....Probably my over charging stupidy.......

Here's my problem.......I talked to some experts concerning my not properly "Form Charging" my NIMH batteries. I was told by several, that I should not use my many super dooper "Peak Chargers" when form charging.........

I have a........

Triton std
Triton2
Futaba CR2000
MRC 959 Super Brain
Hobbico dual Field Charger
Bantam 301
Bantam BC6 w/software
Accu Cycle pro dual charger/cycler
Etc, Etc, Etc

OK, you get the point...........

If I cannot use the above chargers (most of them are peak chargers) just what the HE** are my options then? I am not going to use my 50 Mah wall chargers baby sitting a 1650 & 2000 Mah Hydrimax for 4000 thousand hours............

I have a zillion dollars worth of chargers, but am now told not to use them on new NIMH's..............Drats.........Rats.......Doggy Doo Doo..... & Whale snot........

If I need to c/10 form charge, evidently I need to spend more loot....but on what?????

How about the "Sirius Pro Former"? http://www.siriuselectronics.com/ind...roducts_id=225

Anybody going to help me before I shoot myself?....................

Note....I have a brand new 2000 NIMH Hydrimax for sale real cheap....It's a little on the black side, slightly melted, smells a tad bit burnt, did get a little bit hot....(melted the foam wrap around the battery in the plane) (Brand new U-Can-Do 60 that has yet to make the virgin voyage until I resolve my battery issues)

No, the above plane does not go with the above charred battery...............Sorry

I use the Maxx Products CH96 charger that will charge 4 cells at 180ma and 5 cell at 150ma. It also charges transmitter packs at 120ma. "Perfect for use as a formation or slow charger for any High Capacity Nicad or NiMH Tx pack, and can easily and safely support 4 & 5 cell Nicad and NiMH Rx packs up to 2700ma capacity."

The forming charger you linked to should do a nice job. Usually the cheapest/easiest way is to use a cheap wall wart charger and an appliance timer. I generally use a wall-wart and just note the time started and then turn it off at the appropriate time.

I second what guver says. If you can't get one of those chargers (atleast one of them should be able to do a c/10) to charge at a c/10 rate, just charge them with something like a fish light timer for 14 hours, and that will give you 10 hours to remember to take the battery off before it starts charging again =)
