I'm seriously considering making the switch to A123 receiver packs for my 30% aerobats (2 cell 2300mah). I will need a charger and this one looks darn good for the price. Any oppinions good or bad?? https://fusion-pack.com/productdetai...?id=207&cat=88

I'm using a Cellpro Multi from FMADirect.com. Works great and charges everything.

The Cellpro is nice and that was what I was going to order but this unit is about $30.00 less, can charge at 5 amps instead of 4. It also has discharge/cycle capabilities which might come in handy with some of my nicad/nimh outfiited airplane/packs and if it does the job why not save a little money in the proccess? I'm really just testing the water at this point as I have quite a few planes to re-outfit with batteries before the flying season gets into full swing and my pockets seem to have more holes in them this year than I had anticipated

Go to www.fmadirect.com to see the full line of Cellpro chargers. I use the Cellpro 4 for my A123 packs and find it to be easy to use. If you need service on the charger, FMA provides good fast service.

Never used the ""X" Charger" but it looks like it's A123 compatible. Allot of guys use the FMA Direct Cellpro 4s and love them (which is a great charger for the price.) I personally use a Hyperion EOS0606i AC/DC Charger and it works great for what I use it for. Maintaining my Rx packs.

I ordered this one last night. http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=7028 There is a huge thread on it at RC groups and it seems to be decent for the price. If not, I can practice field goal kicking with it without breaking the bank

It's been 10 days... Whats the verdict?!?!?!?

I'm sure anyone would want to save a bunch of money and pick one of these up.

Honestly, I'm looking for one that does everything, and can save battery profiles so you don't have to set up each one each time. Anyone have any feedback. I don't mind spending more money if it does everything i'd need but not too much like the ones on Maxamps 300+.

I received the Turnigy charger the day before yesterday and I've been cycling a bunch of 4.8 volt 1400mah nicad packs that are used for my ignitions on my gas planes. The little charger is awesome so far. I've brought back to life some older and questionable packs that after 3 or 4 cycles are almost like new including one pack that is about 6 years old. When I ordered my charger I also ordered a cheap 2 cell "Rhino" 460 lipo pack for about $5.00 for the balance connector as I wasn't sure what kind of plug the charger accepts. I'll use the connector to make a balance cord for my new 2 cell A123 packs when I receive them. The included cables and adaptors are an added bonus! I did adjust the "trigger voltage" setting from 12mV to 10mV for nicads as the first time I charged/cycled a nicad pack it got rather warm and now it seems to be about perfect. I'm going to try and recondition some older NIMH packs next. Overall I'm really enjoying this bargain of a unit! You can download the manual from the Hobby City website. I may get another as a backup.
