Alright i could be wrong but the batt is 3800mAh and it charges at 800mAh therefore 3800/800=4.75 so it will take 4 hours and 45mins to charge. Im not sure if im right but i think thats right. Of course the batt wont be at 0mAh so it will be less than that. Maybe like 4 hours and 30mins, i would invest in a swallow 2 charger. There only like 110 bucks and there great. Program in ur batt type, put it wat u want to charge it at and it will turn off wen its done. U can also cycle the batts as well. Basically rule of thumb is, when it gets warm its time to turn it off. It shouldnt be so hot u cant touch it but pretty warm. Why u can tell if a batt is charged by the heat of the batt is because when the energy cannot charge the cells anymore the energy is exerted as heat energy.

Hope that helps.

Your charger (800 ma) delivers 800 mah per hour. Does that help?

Yes ... Please stop charging if the batteries get warm... NOTE: the time and repeat.
PS after warm comes ruined bats and then fire.

Getting batteries hot is detrimental to all types of batteries. It accelerates the demise of NiMh even more so than NiCad. NiMh only has half the lifetime of NiCads if they are properly used anyway, heat them excessively and you lose lots of that life (less number of charge/discharge cycles where the battery performs well). Getting warm is okay, hot a NO-NO as heat greatly accelerates the decomposition of the separator layer between the plates.

Oh yeh when they get hot the life of them goes down but i thought u meant if u get a nimh battery hot it dies.
