Default Does HV mean MAH?

Hi all. I've noticed that frequently Lipo's list an HV rating. What is this? I figure it must be a different measurement that's comparable to MAH, because whenever I see a battery with HV it doesn't list any MAH rating and vice versa. Could someone please clear this up for me. I'm getting my first Lipo in an 18T tomorrow and I need to start learning more than the VERY BASICS of Lipo NOW!!!

Also, does anyone know if an Electrifly Equinox balancer will work with my MRC 977? Their is a Triton Jr coming with the 18T and Lipo, but since I'm going to have to make a connector to use my MRC power supply I probably won't use the Triton at first if I can get away with it.

I use the Equinox balancer with my 977 pro and it works just fine.

The only place I've seen HV is on ESC's, meaning High Voltage, which are designed to handle higher voltage battery packs.

I'm curious, can you post a link to one of these packs?

Barber,
From the link you gave:

RC18 series and Losi Slider Lipo 1550HV 3S 11.1V Pack

1550mah Capacity
11.1 Volts

In this case it appears they are interchanging HV and mAh.
However, they are using the HV in their part number.
Just a littls confusing compared to others.

Good Luck,

Ok thanks. I see MaxAmps uses the HV thing too. What does it mean? Hour Volts or something?

It doesn't mean anything. Just a sales gimmick.
