Default 6v ni packs more like closer to 7v ?

I've always use 4cell packs, but looking to try a 5cell.

However I just fried a mini servo which was supposed to be 6v rated, but upon checking the running voltage it was very close to 7v.

Are other people having these problems with high initial voltage on 5cell packs ?

Default RE: 6v ni packs more like closer to 7v ?

6V is the nominal voltage for a 5cell pack. A fully charged 5cell pack will be close to 7V after coming off the charger.

Most servos that are rated for 6V have no problems using a 5cell pack
