Default TURNIGY ACCUCEL 6

Does anyone have ANY experience with this charger/balancer? I could not believe how cheap it is and had to order 1 to check it out. Any info would be great.

We have the 6 and the 8. They work amazingly well. Have used them on Lipo, Life, Nicad, Nimh and lead acid batteries. Have not had a problem at all.

I'm pretty new to all of this but thought they would be a good buy. I bought one and gave it a try on some LiPo's and it worked so well I bought another one. They are well worth the price.

Thanks guys... is there a rule of thumb for how fast or slow you should charge a battery pack? I am using 2700mah 4.8v nimh packs. What would be a good rate for fast or slow charges and how should i set up the safety timer/peak charge settings?

I too am looking at this charger to replace my DDVC ACE charger. My battery backs are Nicads and NimH from 250-2000 mah. Which power supply would you buy for AC power ? The price is definitely right !!!

Was looking at the Triton EQ also. Which would you buy.

Thanks for the help

I have one, Fantastic piece of kit. Mines 6 months old, no issues yet.

Theres also a new 4 channel charger out for $100-00. Will get that instead. so I can charger multiple planes and my Tx LiFe battery at once. Ithink it s 60W per channel charger. Accucell 6 is 50W per channel.

One thing you may not like about it is the noisey cooling fan. My dogs hate the thing.

I am very happy with it... just wish i could get specific charge rates for the batteries that i am using... the charger has worked flawlessly and is easy to program.

What do you mean by "specific charge rates for the batteries you use". Are the readings from the charger not consistent with the end results ?

If you want to do a quick top off at the field you set it to 2 amps for an hour... if you want to charge it over night and get a good deep charge you charge it at .5 amps for 8 hours... i am not well versed in battery maint. and charging... very old school.

I just found it the Accucel 6 today. I was looking up info on the Venom and came across a pic of the accucel 6. I'd hate to pay $100 more for the exact same charger!

I'm thinking about getting four chargers so at $150-$250 each would be pretty pricey. At $40 each I could get more batteries! Now if these Turnigy battiers I looked at are safe I'd be set for a lot cheaper than I thought! 22.4 V 6s 5000 mHa for $70 when the name brand ones go for $250?

You could try the new $19 chargers at HC also. They seem to work. Smaller and fan blows out the bottom.
