Losi Micro T 1/36 Battery Options
Hi --
I plan to get a Losi Micro T 1/36. It comes with a 4.8V, 150mAh NiMH. I have been looking around to try to understand what my options are for upgrading the battery. My goals is: what is the best way to increase the run time (for basic tooling around – not racing). What are the NiMH and the LiPo options? I realize if I was going for more speed I would upgrade to LiPo -- would that also then increase my run times for non-racing driving? Would a brushless motor upgrade affect the run time and/or speed? Can I just get multiple batteries and then easily swap them out to have a 1/2 hour run from say 3 batteries? I have a Dremel and am comfortable modifying the car to fit a non-standard battery if that would be required to get more run time :) I did quite a search for this information prior to this post on my own but I have yet to come with a comprehensive list of all the possible options and what those options would result in as far as run time and/or speed increases. Thank you! |
The NiMH packs gave me a good amount of runtime. I also had a good peak charger and about 7 of those batteries, so I never ran out. Also, for quick swapping, ditch the battery door hold and put a piece of velcro on the top and the battery. It can be changed in less than 10 seconds that way.
Here is a good charger; http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store..._DC_w_PSU.html And an adapter; http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dynamite-500...p2054897.l4276 As well as another; https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...apter_Set.html |
