Default WIND,WIND,WIND

I know this is probably not the right place for this but its in my favorite list. Move it if you need to.

WHEN FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS RC IS THE WIND GOING TO SLOW DOWN !!

Today was about the same as the last week and there are no signs of it letting up. Steady 20+ with these gusts every 45 seconds. One of the 43's in the top right corner is over our field.

I am starting to go bonkers.

Sorry you are getting hit as well.

It looks like all of us in OK are just going to have to wait it out. There is normally a day or two a week with 15mph winds or less. I have out of necessity learned to handle and enjoy a good wind here in OK but SHEESH ! This is getting silly.

I believe this is what they call "building season" here in the Southwest.

Tomorrow we have a forecast of 60mph with heavy gusts. Then we have a cold front moving in with rain and wind. Our swap meet was moved from Sat. to Sunday in hopes of everyone getting in some stick time. It is just our normal spring time weather. Last Friday it was 90 with zero wind and I got a bit sun burnt. Not this week!!

PhoenixAngel is due west of me and RCKen is southwest of me, neither of them very far. Don't you guys think if they had any honor at all, they would bottle up some of that wind and keep it in Oklahoma before it had a chance to keep us poor guys in Arkansas from getting it? We normally fly on Sunday and Wedensday. Last Sunday it was 89 degrees and sunny. Today was 75 degrees and sunny, but could we fly? NOOOO. We had wind that should rightly have stayed in Oklahoma. That is, if those guys in Oklahoma were doing the right thing.

Same here in the Deep South.  We had rain for almost two whole weeks and now we've had pretty rough wind for almost two weeks.  Well, except for that monster buster that came through here the other night!  LOL  Luckily I'm still working on taxes so I haven't been able to fly anyway or I would be as aggravated as you guys.  [:@]

My cut off for wind is about 30. If it's blowing ing the 20's, I'm heading out with a gas Ultra Stick and a park zone p-47. In 30 mph wind, you land at your feet like a heli

phoemixangel, i feel for you, this weather is atrocius. I haven't been able to fly since last november. Flood rains week after week, and gale force winds every week , We need someone to blame for all this , so lets pick on RCKen. He feels like he is being generous by shareing it all with us, but please Ken ,,,, turn it off , we have had enough.

{We can blame him because he is the boss }

It's called Spring Brother, I feel your pain. You think that's bad, my Club is only a mile away from Lake Ontario and the wind most always comes from the lake in a NE direction. I think we have maybe a month all together with no wind, if we're lucky all summer long. I usually fly late in the evening or early in the morning to avoid the winds.

get yourself a Stick. Best high wind airplane. I would fly it in nearly any wind unless it was so windy I couldn't taxi without rolling over.

I have several SPADs that I don't mind flying in high winds.... lots of fun with no risk. I don't really care how hard it's blowing as long as it's pretty directional. Those 30mph gusts that whip from all different directions keep you on your toes!

20-30mph wind is one thing, but this has been the worst year for gusty wind I can recall. I don't have my April flight in for all season flyer yet. And if it's gonna blow, blow in a rain.

The same in Ky. If we have light winds it's cold or raining. when it warms up we're getting 20mph or higher winds out of the south. Our runway is W to E Dennis

Sure, you guys laughed at us all winter while we were snowed in, but right now, the sun is shining, there's not a cloud in the sky, it's 55 degrees and it's nice and calm [8D]

Well if gas was cheaper I'd drive north in the summer and south in the winter. What do do about the wife? Dennis

one of those 43s in the top left corner (Harper County)is right over me.

The only time the wind isn't blowing, I'm at work.

After 15mph, thats my limit ! Ive learned my leason trying to fly in 20+mph winds. I dont enjoy fighting the winds trying to fly or the epxensive cost of repairs fom it.
