WRCC - Passed Wings Test

WRCC - Passed Wings Test
Well, I passed the Winnipeg Radio Control Club - Wings Test tonight. I can officially fly solo - again. Joined the club when I was 17 years old .... now 50 years old (that went fast). Try to balance flying between work, kids and household chores. Nice of the weather to cooperate by having little rain this summer (no grass to cut) and niceflying evenings.

Congrats. Have no idea what the WRCC Wings Test might be, but glad you got through it and can fly solo. Just be sure to have a buddy at the field when you do. ;-)

Possibly next year for Brent, (he turns 7 next month). He wants to fly that's for sure. Not sure if Katrina wants to try her hand at flying too.

Congratulation Jim. Now the fun begins? How about your kid is he about to get started? [8D]

Charlie, it's like a "Safe Boater's Test" for RC Pilots. Know the club rules, how to start an engine, demonstrate control of the plane (turns. figure 8, level flight, etc), be able to do a proper landing and take off. Disqualified if you are wrong side of the runway on take-off or flying in the restricted area.

Good deal. I'm sure a lot of clubs have a similar process. My prior club had a "blue card" that had to be initialed off by either your mentor/sponsor of the club safety officer. Current club doesn't have a flight school; but a safety infraction process of curtailing unsafe pilots (which, happily, is seldom invoked).
