Default Rimfire 400 mounting screw size?

I'm having trouble finding the correct size screw to mount this motor. I had to rebuild the motor mount that broke off of my seawind.

A 3mm screw looks identical but does not screw in nice and easy like the original screw ( I only have 1 of the original screws ) I dont want to force the 3mm in and damage the threads?

Off to search some more..

Thanks

Steve

New once I posted a question I'd find the info.

Says 3mm screw... Wonder why it seems a tight fit?

ORIGINAL: radius1x1

3mm comes in two pitch sizes; 60 and 50.

That would explain the fit issue..

How different are they?

When I mate the two screws thread to thread the look identical.
Would the difference be obvious?

I'll check the LHS and see if they carry both pitches?

Thanks

Steve

Best way to check is with a pitch gage or tap and die set. I just invested in a T&D set since I just went through this with the same Rimfire motor which takes a "tri" mount and upgrade to a larger motor requiring a 4 bolt set up. It was necessary to tap new threads in the metal motor mount. In the event you have a buggered bolt, a metric die set is handy and beats a trip to the HS. 4mm also comes in two pitch sizes; .70 and .75.
