Default Aeronca Champ ARF?

I have a DLE 30 that needs a home and im looking for a Cub style plane... are there any aeronca champ arfs out there? i have enough aerobatic planes ,,,,,,,,,,,, i want something fun to shoot touch and gos with.


if not ill settle for the H9 1/4 scale cub

There is a Pilot 1 Champ in the size you're looking for. Check out HobbyLobby.com. I believe they sell the Pilot 1 line.

I have no idea what any original measurments are but for that airplane with a simple untapered wing if you just measure from the trailing edge to the leading edge and divide that figure by four and that sum will be the distance back from the leading edge to mark your target CG. That will be 25% Mac, if you truly balance at that point your airplane will fly very well with no surprises.

thank you john, that's what I needed to know I bought the 1/4 scale from a guy he had neaver flowt it but I didn't get any paper work thanks again for your help

GC CAME OUT AT 3.75 BACK FROM LEADING EDGE OF WING IT BALANCED PERFECT JUST A TAD NOSE DOWN READY TO GO FLYING NOW AS SOON AS THE WEATHER GETS BETTER WILL POST HOW IT GOES WHEN I CAN GET TO THE FIELD

well went to the air field today wind blowing 5-8 straight down the run way I went with the 3-75 from the trailing edge on my gc no weigth need with a new g-23 Zenoah up front lots of power for this aeronica champ roll out was about 50 feet with a real sloppie setting on my engine all I can say(I LOVE THIS AERONICA CHAMP) loves to float and will slow down to a crawl no bad habits at all

Seagull has the Decathlon in a few different sizes. They make nice, solid planes (I had the .40 size).

The Rascal 110 would be another option in a sporty high wing plane for which that engine would be appropriate.

I have one with a syssa 30, and really enjoy it.
