At the rate we are losing freedom and liberties here in the USA, I see this for our future of our hobby.............

LMAO! I agree and wouldn't doubt it.
This is where I think we will be in about 10 years...
I don't know where I will be in 10 years, so I'm not going to guess.

RC Flying will be banned in the dusty USA annex ofthe Imperial Chinese Empire.
Just kidding, I don't think it will be that different from now. The problems with all these super new high tech gismos is that in the current economic climate most people can't afford them and Companies can't afford to make them any cheaper, so I suspect i'll be flying the same type of planes I have now, with the same engines and TX.

Today's fancy gizmo is tomorrow's middle of the road technology. Our radios are cheap to make. It's the R&D that you're paying for when something new comes out. I suspect that the quality 10 channel radios of today will be cheap in 10 years because the market will want telemetry, multiple gyro control (or whatever electronic stability controls there are then), and whatever other whiz bang gadget that goes beyond flight control that they come up with. Just look at what you can get 10 years ago's top of the line equipment for today.

In 10 years we will have: Electrics (prop and EDF), Gasoline engines, and Turbines.
I think glow engines will be gone/history. Less and less glow engines are sold every year and the price of glow fuel continues to increase. Fewer sales of glow engines will probably lead to a continuous increase in their price .... to a point where you will probably prefer to go electric or gas.

I don't think glow will completely go away just because so many guys like the sound and the fact that it is an engine instead of a battery powered motor. But I do think it will be less popular in 10 years because of the electric technology.

I don't think there will be much change in ten years only. There are a lot of us who are using basically the same stuff as we did 30 years ago...
Chinese minimum wages are going up and they can not keep their lower prices much longer, so the cheep stuff might give way for better quality again.
