Default NEW TO GASS'Rs

Hi Gang:

I'm new to GAS (MoGas) engines. I will be building a 4-120 Bipe and would like to get some opions on what make and size engine would fit this bird.
Could you also give reasions why you make your particular suggestion.

Thanks Gang,

Barry

The best gassers out there in the 50CC, 30CC would be DA, DL, DLE....good reliable engines. everyone stocks them so it is easy to get parts and support...
Since you're new to gassers please use an optic kill switch......it will shut off the engine in case of a power failure on the airplane...it has a small section of fiber optic to help reduce noise ( interference ) from your ignition...plus it gives you an additional way to kill the engine from your transmitter

You should probably go to the "Gas Engines" thread down the list a bit here. I'm fairly new to gas too and have picked up a lot of good information. I'm using a DLE20 in a 60-sized P47 and also in the GP PT17 Stearman

Barry, you can also look at BP hobbies and the rcgf brand of gas engines, they are local. Hillsbourough NJ. also 3DX hobbies on Rte22 in
GreenBrook sells RCGF. Both places have been there for a long time

Go look in the gas engine forum, you don't even need to post a question, just read. At this time the DLE is king. A lot of bang for your buck. So far DLE is staying on the top of the heap the longest. Other cheap gas engines have come and gone in the blink of an eye. I run RCS, Brison and Zenoah but if I needed a new gasser I would walk right up to the DLE counter.
