Default Aerobird X-Tail repair

In trying to learn to fly my Aerobird with the X-Tail I had a crash (surprise!). It resulted in a bend in the tail. It doesn't seem too bad but I can see some flexing of it. What's a good trick for repairing (stiffening) this area? Thanks

Just the packing tape? Should I put somthing under the tape for added stiffness?

you could but it will also add weight. Try just the packing tape first
