Default LIPO setup for Giant Scale: See attachment
No need to comment on all kinds of stuff (connectors/the right LIPO/voltage regulators/etc). Attached is a basic setup of a Li-ION battery through a charge switch to a voltage regulator to a receiver.
Is this "flow" correct?

You are correct. Obviously placing the regulator before the switch will drain the battery.
