ok setting up a spare trainer i have with skis for winter need help

i got the skis on. any ideas on how to hold them in place for take offs and landing?

Tipping nose up is OK. Tipping nose down is fatal. So, you want a spring that will keep them slightly nose up in flight. If you have a Higley or K&S rod bender it's easy to make a spring with two legs to do that (one with an "L" bend to fit in a hole in the ski and the other end with a "J" to bend around the strut).

Here's a version that use a torsion spring - easier to nake if you don't have a bender.

Thanks where can I find the tension rods?
