when you say vet I have to assume you mean the Vet Administration, I chose the Vet Admin. also but I also have insur. thru my ex employer, so when I saw the huge amount of people using the Vets I felt I was being a bit self serving and returned to my primary physician for care, cost was nuch the same so I felt I eased the load on the Admin. and yes I feel the doctors and service were better.
I don't feel anybody -with exceptions - owe me anything. I find more to be thankful for every day.

no vet as in veterinarian. Back in the 30s when my dad was a kid in a foster home (read that as the farm needed another field hand) he learn to fear and respect his foster father when one of his mule bit him on the shoulder and he threw a haymaker and laid the mule out cold. The veterinarian that set the mule's jaw (broken in three places) also set the old man's arm (broken in two places)!

Dave Cowell of DPC Models, AKA Aero-Werkes http://dpcmodels.homestead.com/index.html is making me a laser cut kit of the stand-way-off-scale 1964 Walt Musiciano Scientific 1/2-A Grumman Hellcat. I built one of those in the 5th grade. Decided to celebrate my 11 YO birthday again.

Yesterday after many months I finally got my motorhome functional. the starter would not turn over and I found out I moved the positive voltage lead to it to the negative side of the battery----- Duuuhh!
the wiring harness that got cut and burned is repaired but now I have to cover it and add brackets to keep it from bouncing around.
the weather and honeydoos didn't help either. As soon as I get it all cleaned up I'm going to take a short vacation somewhere. my brain needs a reboot.

I am 82 still going strong. My first plane I built out of sticks in 1938. Just started an AMA Club in Maricopa, AZ 85138 # 5269. Club name: Maricopa AMA RC Club. Web site: http://Maricopa-AMA-Radio-Control-Club.webs.com. You are never to old to do what you love. I have done a lot of the comments, Testors Glue, Tissue paper, U Control, Free Flight, Rubber band escapements, Reed Receivers, Tube RX and TX, Planes that were lawn darts (that is a good one), Hydro and Deep V Boats. If you live in Maricopa, AZ or near by drop me an email [email protected]. Have a great day.

Yes, it will be neat to see it again after all these years. Scientific advertised this kit for a short time then discontinued it. I guess it wasn't popular enough to be profitable. Here's an ad, I don't know what magazine it was in, think it may be from 1965. It is 5 down in the second column on the left.
Good thing you got that repaired, Donny. I've done things like that too, good you got that sorted out.
Oh, I think the honey doo's did help. It kept her happy, so you could work on other things.

Flew these two for the last time in England yesterday then put them into store prior to my moving to France.
I have to be out of the house by 12.00 hrs on 1st May. I'm finding all of this packing a bit stressful!

Nice airplane you got there Donny. Sorry I haven't been around. I have a big project for work and I have been working until 10 or later every evening remolding a bathroom. I hope to be finished next week before my son comes home from Germany on his way to his new job in Chicago.

Several engines to choose from, may go with Cox .049 Babe Bee, then I don't have to mess with plumbing.
Hope all goes well with your move and look forward to your posts again once you're settled.

Cool kit! other than the laser cutting It makes me think of my younger days. I notice you are using Elmers glue, I have found it to be very good but to slow to set for my impatient self so I use CA. Maybe if I practiced more patients my models would look better. As a matter of fact the chairs for my dining room table self destructed over the years and a friend told me to use Elmers to glue and clamp them over night. The legs had split down there lengths. The results amazed me, my wife sanded and finished them to new and we have been enjoying them for several years now, we purchased the set in 1967.
please continue to post your progress I always learn something from others even after all these years of building.
I am priming my build and it is tedious. I took extra time to assure a smooth surface but I find myself using spot putty in a multitude of places. I even sanded thru the glass in some small areas very frustrating. Actually this is the part of building I like the least. but I am determined to get this thing off my bench.
You mentioning controline has made me get several models back in shape after hanging around here in poor condition Thanks! Heck I even semi organized my shop and have a lot more room for the effort.
