Default fuel quality

An old friend gave me some beautiful airplanes and 3 partial gallons of fuel. Is there any way to check the fuel to find out if it's still usable? It was stored in his garage and am sure it went thru a couple of freeze, unfreeze cycles.

That's what I'll do this morning! Thanks John! I think I can also check the specific gravity? Hmmm? High school chemistry just kicked in there! lol

It takes only a few minutes to discover on the bench if a fuel is going to give you running problems. If you do discover a problematic fuel then It becomes a wonderful soak for cleaning and unsticking castor varnished engines.
