Servo Question
Greetings,
I am looking to purchase new servos for 2 different planes. My question is which servo to go with. I have a Spektrum DX7 transmitter. I can purchase servos for $35.00 each, or I can purchase Tower Hobbies servos at $7.99 each. I am going to be putting the servos into an ARF trainer and a Sig Hog Bipe.
Any suggestions on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Brad

Your expensive servos are most likely digital with a ball race supporting the output shaft the cheaper Tower Hobbies servos are analogue with a plain bearing . Most people can not tell the difference when the model is flying.
For the two models you mention the Tower Hobbies servos will do just fine.

I'm a fan of the ball bearing servos for durability. I agree digitals aren't needed for what you are doing. So spend $12 each to get a bearing on the output shaft.
