Has anyone ever used the FMA Direct CO-Pilot ? I have seen good reviews on it.

Got one, use it, and it works exactly like they say. I really like it, but it is not a substitute for buddy box training. I find it makes crosswind landings much easier, especially if you have a plane that doesn't like crosswind landings. I got one out of sheer curiosity of how it works.

I hope that you will save the Co-Pilot till the third or fourth plane.
You need to gain the experience of reacting to the plane and
then making the plane do what you want it to do.

Every time I raise the hood on my car, I see this little black cap
that says 710. Never have figured out what it means.

There is a guy at our field who learned to fly with it. The "instructors" were never available when he could be there so he used it to learn. Now he has it set to channel 5 so that once he is in the air, he turns it off and only turns it on when he is in trouble. he has made some of the best dead stick landings I have ever seen with that thing!

I wish I had had one when I had to teach myself to fly RC back in the 70's. Course, had it even been available then, it would have probably cost $12,000 and weighed 200# !!!!
