Default Gyro or Not?

Hi,
I am not sure if the Gyro I have is working correctly, if I bump the plane with the Gyro turned on it reacts almost immediately with a short blip of opposite movement, if I slowly move the wings from level it dosen't seem to do anything, it just reacts to fast changes in roll. I have it on an adjustable gain channel and it does not seem to matter if it is on 100%, 50%, or whatever. same thing .
Is it toast?
Thanks
Slyskydogg

Default Gyro or Not

Hi,
It is a NEJ 900 (remote adjustable gain), hooked up to a Futaba RX. I have a Futaba 7U TX, and control the gain of the gyro on channel 7 (AUX) using 1 Hitec HS303 servo for ailerons.

Default Gyro or not

Hi Bob,
The directions show it for a plane or copter.
