Default Realflight G2 is it worth it????

I am thinking about investing the money in the "RealFlight" simulator and was wondering if it is worth the $200.00 that it costs. I'm new at the hobbie and I really want to get better at flying. Is this going to really help me?? By that I mean, will it teach me to fly??

Default Realflight G2 is it worth it????

Hi schjssj,
Had to reply to your question. I personally think Realflight was/is fantastic. I had a little prior experience flying a Kadet Senior in circles, with someone to take off and land for me. After I had moved, I got G2 and an Avistar, practiced on G2 for about a month or so, and went out and flew (that was last summer). Still haven't crashed, just a few rough landings on the gear, but nothing that couldn't be bent back right there. I also used it quite a bit this spring before going out again, and with the different planes, variable wind settings, etc., I found it to be incredibly valuable.
there are some other sims which I haven't used, some of the other guys might be able to suggest something that'll save you the $, but as to G2, I think it is great.
Best of luck!

YES -- G2 is worth it! I had several students who soloed on their first or second flights after spending time with G2.

YES YES YES YES YES YES.......YES.

This is how I learned to fly. I live in the sticks with no teachers so it's how I learned. So IMHO it's VERY much worth the purchase.

G2 is not only worth the cost to teach someone to fly, but it is worth the price to improve your skills after you have learned to fly.
