anyone from around lancaster, pa willing to talk to a newcomer?
here's the scoop...i need to write a profile for my composition class about something that interests me but i dont know much about. i spend a lot of time in the car forums but know nothing about flying so i figured this would be a perfect topic.
i'd like to know if anyone from around lancaster, pa would be willing to take some time to explain the basics of flying planes and/or helis, the equipment used, and the differences between flying, and driving r/c cars (since most people are familiar with their operation).
i'll check this thread often but i can be reached at this same name on AIM and this same name @hotmail.com. i'd like to just go to one of our hobby shops but i had surgery on monday and i'd like to NOT travel as much as possible so i'm coming to you all first.
thanks for your time and any help you can offer [8D]

http://www.lancareasoaring.org
http://www.modelaircraft.org/clubsearch.aspx (a search engine for chartered clubs, just enter your zip or city, state)
With the above two links, you should be able to find someone fairly close to give you a hand. One thing for certain, modeller love to talk about modelling.
good luck, Kevin
