Default Solo-ing Tommorow (hopefully)

It all started like 5 years ago when my dad bought me a Piper J3 Cub 40 for my birthday, and we just got it flying about a month or 2 ago. That same day it crashed on take off (not me). So it has recently been fixed. Also recently we found some guys with sweet hookups and we bought an Ugly Stick(Mine) and a Cloud Dancer(Dad's). We took the Ugly Stick to our spot and I had my first couple of flights. I flew the box and did some fly-by's and then took off. But after a while I got a bit cocky and turned with a too steep bank and crashed it[] before my dad could flip the switch and take over. Oh well, we bought plans and a cheap V-stik ARF from ebay and for the past two days I've been finishing up on the ARF and tommorow I'll probably solo (after several buddy flights of course).

I'm new to the forums and this is my first post. I'm taking flight lessons every weekend at the local airport in a Cessna 150 (Personally I like being in the cockpit better than on the ground with a radio). And hopefully this summer i'll be flying RC alot more with my friend Pilot Chad.

I'll get pics of all of our planes together tommorow but until the here are some pics of the piper, cloud dancer and ugly stik before and afters

Good luck!! I soloed yesterday evening, and I can tell you there's nothing like it! Well, except for my full scale solo about 3,000 hrs ago, back in '89!

Knowing when to go home in one piece is part of the learning process. You made the right choice. Disappointing but not as much as going home in a trash bag. [:'(] It's sunner, take your time like we kept trying to tell Chad (who never listened).

Good luck.

Brandon, welcome to the message board good luck with the Hobby.
As for getting Chad to slow down use a headlock if you need to.
