Lee, Spinner size is determined by the airplane, not the engine.

Lee, what Minn said. Also look carefully through the instructions. It should say what size you need. Based on the size and pics of the plane, I'm betting a 2"-2 1/2". If you are going to use a wide bladed prop, check with Tru-Turn, they make what you need. You could also just Dremel a standard out. I have had to do this before, and it's not as bad a job as it sounds. Just go slow and check the fit often.

Cheers guys, so if i just measure the diameter of the flat circle at the front of the cowl that is what size i need? I will have to see if i can get hold of those tru-turn spinners over here as i dont fancy drilling one out.

Thanks again Lee.

I couldn't find any spinner info among the various links I found, it's an ARF.

This may be obvious but what the heck....

The spinner size is determined by th eplane but the adapter is determined by the engine. If you go TruTurn they have a nifty little adapter finder on their website.

Then try one of these:

[email protected]

or

[email protected]

One of those should be able to help you.

Here are some more alum spinners to consider.

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...er&FVPROFIL=++

BTW - This should be your engine: http://www.westonusa.com/engines.htm

the manuals don't list the crank thread sizes but there is an email address at the end of the manual where you might email and get the info.

Hi Lee,

I have ordered spinners and "custom" spinner nuts directly from Tru Turn in the past when I have been unable to find what I wanted here in Australia. They are great to deal with and the order has always arrived in the post within 10 days of placement. You will probably get even faster service to the UK.

Thoughts and prayers to all in the UK suffering the echoes of Bali and 9/11.

Cheers,

Colin

Yes thanks colin i will send tru-turn an e-mail and see what they have to say. I was down london at the weekend for the live8 concert so it really hits home just think of the carnage that could have been caused if it happened then with all those people in such a small area it dosen't bare tinking about.... I think that this may be just the start of things to come but that is the society we live in today, i am fortunate not to have known anyone involved but my thoughts are with those who do.
