Newbie Aileron Question
A real rookie question. Can I setup the right stick on a NON-COMPUTER radio to control BOTH ailerons (servo in each wing) on a single channel?
Would I use a Y connector to hook both aileron servo leads into a single channel plug on the receiver? I can't visualize how it would work since the right stick going to a SINGLE servo moves it in both directions. How is the stick movement sent to TWO different servos?Thanks for the help!!

Yes. Use a Y harness from the receiver to the servos. When you move the right stick, both servos will move in the same direction and the same amount (mostly). Since you need the ailerons to work opposite each other, you have two options:
1) Put a servo reversing lead in-line with one servo
2) Just connect the aileron pushrods on opposite sides of the servos to mechanically reverse them. i.e. as you view the wing from the bottom, connect the left aileron pushrod on the left side of the servo arm and the right aileron pushrod on the right side of its servo arm. Both servos will rotate the same direction when you move the sticks but one will push while the other one pulls.
I'd go with option 2 since it's free.

eaglelope's option #2 is the way 99.99 % of the people would do it given your scenario. If you give it some thought, I'm sure you will end up seeing how easy it is. This is a common thing.

Are you planning to join a club and get an instructor? What kind of plane do you have? Pleeeease get some competent assistance with your training, otherwise it is most likely going to get expensive real quick.
