Default World Models LA Racer

Hi All,

I am currently looking for a ARF as my second model. I have been look at a [link=http://www.airborne-models.com/html/productdetails.asp?ProductID=91]World Models LA Racer[/link], but I am a bit concerned that the wing loading may a bit high.

For interest I learnt to fly with a World Models Super Frontier.

Thanks
Pups

G'day Mate,
Not high at all, around 20 ozs/sq foot, they land very easily, they will fly OK with a 40LA, or 46LA, type motor, but are perfect to learn aerobatics with a good 46, OS AX or TT46Pro.
They make a great second plane.
I just received an invite to the COMSOA scale fun fly, are you a member?

Thanks for the quick reply,

Yes I am a member of COMSOA, unfortunately I think it will still be a while before I enter scale events but I will be taking my camera to help inspire me

Not a problem. I fly a World Models LA Racer 40 with a TT46Pro and it has been just the ticket to develop some acro in my flying. Pretty well made for a inexpensive ARF except I felt that the tail wheel assy was weak and I did replace it. Otherwise great flyer.

Here are some pictures from the Scale Day. It was also a Sports plane day so I also took out my trainer and flew around a bit and had some fun.

As for the World Models LA Racer, I decided to get a H9 Pulse XT that will hopefully be maidened this weekend.

Cheers
Pups

I like the LA Racer too. It's a sharp looking little plane for the money & as already stated, it's small & light enough that you don't need a very big or high dollar engine for it. I have 2 WM Ultimate 40s. One with an OS 46LA & the other with an OS .46FX & they both just scream. I believe the LA Racer is right around the same size/weight so it should zoom along with just about any 40 to 46 size engine you put in it. I believe you get about 4 choices of color schemes with that one too. In general I've experienced nothing but good quality for the money from WM. They are among my very favorite ARF companies. I say get one, I'll bet you'll really like it!!
