Default bobby boykin 1st solo

finally soloed this is afer 3 yrs plying. the wind was to strong. the whole matter came later, i was scared of the wind from yard fliers planes. finally my instructor said to fly in15 mph winds. after that normal 10 mph winds were very unenventabel. finally he told me to try it on my own. the feeling was emposible to fill. this was about three weeks ago. since then i have keys to gate and can fly when i want to have had 2 flights without anyone at field but me. took week vacation to have field to myself. thanks to this great club for their help and time. hope to burn more fuel to move onto better and larger airplaines.

Congradulations! A lot of us here remember clearly that feeling you have. The closest thing you will get to that now is after you kit build a new plane and succesfully maiden it. Always be extra careful when your out at the feild yourself. As a general rule I like to have someone else around. Accedents happen and it would be a real shame to dei of shock because you lost a finger to your prop and passed out. Enough of the safety guy in me. Again though, congradulations, it all cost more from here on out.

You know your hooked when the owner of the LHS smiles and calls you by name when you walk in the door.

Congrats again!

A solo flight is a great accomplishment and that wins you one genuine RCU ATTABOY (Suitable for framing, wrapping fish, or lining trashcans).
