Tryin somethin new - Electric flying

RE: Tryin somethin new - Electric flying
It doesn't fit as is.
Look at this image:
Notice that the motor has a "C" type metal mounting that fits and is screwed into the wooden ply "arms".
Those "arms" also provide support for the fuselage exterior light balsa "walls" that are covered with Ultra-Coat.
To fit the Rimfire mount you are talking about, you would have to cut out the "arms", thereby removing the wall supports, and weakening the entire structure.
I've been here with the Super Sportster, which is why I made a mount like the one in the prior picture I posted.

yeah i thought somethin was up... nothing is perfect in this world
I'll use the 28-45-2100 for now and work my way up. Direct bolt on, great planes says goes well as is for no gear drive.

RE: Tryin somethin new - Electric flying
Sorry for a double post, but this one is worth it.
Tower had the $30 saving over 199.xx whatever... so yours truly is now the owner of a RC Plane. The other trainer we have here is a gift I bought for my step pappy on fathers day.
I'm pretty sure the first flight or second will result in a early return home though. I'm used to pitching and catching the park flyer.

Glow planes are very dissimiliar to Park Flyers in many ways.

RE: Tryin somethin new - Electric flying
I've never flown glow planes before in my life, only electric park flyers. We have yet to even take the 60 out to fly... step pappy too scared to fly.
