RE: Anyone ever fly alone???
The only time I regreted flying alone was when my brand new low wing .19 powered airplane didn't have enough power to take off the tall grass. So the only way to get the test flight in was to hand launch it, which is difficult when you are also holding the transmitter. Not so hard with a high wing, but with a low wing, there is nothing to hold on to near the balance point.
So I trimmed in some down elevator, started the airplane, and turned it upside down and hand launched it inverted. It flew great! I later changed the engine to a .35 for plenty of power.

RE: Anyone ever fly alone???
I fly alone all the time. It is nice to fly with others too but have had a mid-air with another guy. He ended up worse than me, I landed mine with right wing tip damage but he spiraled down to the bitter END. I tend to be more relaxed by myself than triing to look good in front of someone else.
