Default servo compatability

Hi guys and gals:
Quick question, if I may. I want to use futaba standard servos in my model. Can I use them with a Hitec receiver, which is an HFD-08rd, dual con., ultra narrow band.? Will the servos plug in and will they work if they do. Thanks for your input. There is a lot I don't understand yet concerning our neat hobby.

Yes, you can use the Futaba servos. You will have to snip off the alignment tab on the plugs, but other than than they will work fine. See attached diagram.

I mix and match Hitec & Futaba this and that components like they were the same brand. I've done it for years. Never had any trouble.

Most of the late model Hitec RX's have the Futaba alignment tab built in the reciever. I would'nt remove the tab unless you have to.

Hi again, I kinda thought as much, but wanted to hear it from you folks. Thanks for responding so quickly, in the time it took for me to do my daily walk(1.6 miles) I had my answer. Made the walk worthwhile, thanks again.
