Default Planes that everybody should have..

Mike made the following statement regarding the Carl Goldberg Super Chipmunk.

"this is another of those planes that every one should have at least once in their flying career."

So I thought I'd start a thread here. Here's your chance to pipe up, chime in, sound off, whatever cliche you want to use..

List the the plane or planes that you think should be on the "Everyone Should Have At Least Once" (ESHALO) list....

Since Mike made one suggestion already, I'll start it with..

Carl Goldberg Super Chipmunk.

I get amazed every time I fly my WM mach 2, I think it is prolly on the same level as the CG tiger 2 as far as ease of use and flight goes. I just love it. Everyone would enjoy how easy it is to fly and still be capable of doing aerobatics and other things.

Firstly, a good trainer:
My choice would be Hobbico Avistar 40

A good second model:
My choices are:
Hangar 9 Ultra Stick 40 or 60 size
Sig 4*
CG Tiger II

A good Scale model:
Corsair
P-51
Thunderbolt
Chipmunk
Cub
A WWI bipe (Se5a)

A pattern plane:
Exceleron
Venus

An aerobatic plane:
Sukoi
Cap
Extra
Yak

A good Bipe:
Ultimate
Pitts

An a reliable and fun plane that you like to fly the most. The fun part of it is that it could be either of those listed or any other that is trusty enough for you.

I don't think anyone should have any airplane they don't want and I'm a firm believer in only having airplanes you like!

I agree, everyone should build at least one kit. However, I'm starting to wonder if people can even build ARFs anymore, as many of the guys in my club only buy airplanes at auctions!

Ugly airplanes I love: Ultra Stick, The HOTS!

Goldberg Ultimate, SuperSportser 60, OMP 67" Fusion for the wild side.

The best plane I have ever had my thumbs on(maybe this should be another thread) 35% Carden Cap. It's not for everyone because of the size. But it did exactly what I told it when I told with no bad habits. It belongs to a friend and I got to put 5 flight on it.

I've built two kits, so I'm off the hook, right, Mike?

Now, this is a fun thread. Everyone gets to put in their 2 cents worth and everyone gets ideas for their next project!!!

Hog bipe, eh Ken? [sm=72_72.gif]

Coasty, Yep, both Mike and I requested that you do this and you have built two; so, you are off the hook!

This is precisely why I started it... Every couple weeks I get the itch to buy yet another plane. (Oddly enough it coincides very closely to payday.. go figure )

So I think about these things too. After my current covering projects are done, a Sig 4*40 will be my next build.

I'm surprised Ken didn't suggest a Slow Poke.
