First solo flight
I have been reading on the forums on here for a couple of months but never posted because I didn't have anything to contribute but I will now. I finally got to solo my Nexstar today!! Thanks to the the help of Bonebreak he talked me into getting in this hobby and helping train me I had two sucessful solo flights. I have a great appreciation for all the people who make this hobby look easy I realized today the skill and attention it takes to fly an RC plane.

Here is a picture of his 1st solo!!! If you look really close in the first picture, you can see his plane. He was my first "trainee", and I am thankful I was successful in training. I think I had as much fun as he did!!

Congratulations & welcome to an incredible hobby! Many flights and soft landings to you!
lol the second picture is scary - I don't know if it's the angle or what - but does anyone see an antenna there :P - I'm not even seeing a 2.4 small black antenna. lol

Congratulations!!! And if people only posted when they had something to contribute, my post count would be in the single digits .
And what is that strange blue color up in the sky in your photos? I've heard of it, but I can't remember actually witnessing this phenomena.
Great job.

Congrats! If I may offer a bit of advise, keep the lids from all your jugs of fuel. I keep mine in a bucket, and it gives me a half *****ed idea of how many flight I have under my belt (with a little math and some guessing).

RE: First solo flight
Congrats Fizz,
It was this time last year I soloed with my instructor. They are right you need to have that picture of that day. My solo was with his Goldberg Eaglet. My instructor took a pic of me and I thought yea well ok. But I check it out now and then as a reminder of as you said the skill and attention needed to fly. I would never have been able to do it without help. My instructor laughed at me last week I had the shakes when flying my winter build. He is training his 10yr son but the poor boy has let his attention wander twice and the Eaglet has needed to be rekit . Got to fly the Eaglet on Tueday night for some cross-wind landings it really built my confidence again.
Good Job.

I think I see a 2.4 antenna. It is angled to the right side I think.
