Pat McManus had a good article on this. You have to take your lumps when bringing home new firearms until you hear your wife say "all those guns". At that point you know she's lost count and you're home safe.

Airplanes are similar - just make sure you always buy or build red & white airplanes. Then they all look alike.

I guess those who have complaning wives aren't as lucky as I am.

No matter if i get R/C or full size airplanes and equipment she is always right there with me to help with the build and flying, and I have bought som pretty horrid looking aircraft in these years and always never a complaint.

I just remember what the company commander in boot camp told all of us; "Hey, you did NOT get a wife in your seabag!!"

I would have kept the Mustang - I have 1956 182 myself . This thing is a major accident waiting to happen -difference between stall speed and cruising speed is very small. 8-10 MPH gust of wind and your toast !

My wife tells me to buy whatever I want...she says as long as she can still buy shoes and groceries its cool. When I bring up buying a fullsize Aeronca Champ now and again all she says is "as long as you're life insurance is up to date-go for it!"

You know...as long as she can still buy shoes and groceries after I'm dead...its cool!
