Mixing brands and nitro % of fuel

Can I mix Wildcat 10% with Omega 15% without causing problems? I have about 1/2 qt. of each.

RE: Mixing brands and nitro % of fuel

    No problem.

The Nitro ratio will of course drop to somewhere between 10%-15%... and the biggest problem is that the fuel will turn an ugly color shade, but it will run just fine.

I would not ever mix fuels. Different brands, means different types of chemicals, but same fuel. Just to play it safe. DONOT mix fuel.

RE: Mixing brands and nitro % of fuel

I've mixed different brands and nitro percentages and have had no averse effects. As noted above if Omega and Cool Power are mixed mixed you doo get an ugly color, but the way I look at it, fuel is fuel and it all burns just fine.

I mix three different types of fuel to get the castor % I want, I sorta think the purplish color is pretty.

RE: Mixing brands and nitro % of fuel

When I have a lot of different brands and %s of fuel on hand, doesn't happen often, I just dump them together and run it in my two stroke. No problems at all. I don't make my good four strokes drink my witches brew but I'm sure they wouldn't care either, I just treat them better.

GB indeed I heartily concur one should always use the Witchs Brew for the two strokes but reserve the Snake Oil for your four stokes

That is very true but you know we always have favorites!! Truth is my glow engines aren't all that fussy about the nitro content, that's why I get all red in the face when I see people posting about YS engines needing high nitro fuel. All I ever buy these days is 15% but I have tried every flavor and not had anything happen except a bit of drop in RPM and a shakey idle. I'm looking at the oil more then the nitro and some of the brands don't state there oil content or what the blend is. Even that isn't any big deal. I have a bunch of two strokes but only using one these days. I like the SK .91s and at $100.00 they are great!! NOt picky about the fuel I use either, they would run on down stream beer!! That's why they get to drink anything I have on hand. My four strokes are tuned and set for one brand and one type of fuel and I'm too lazy to be twisting needles if I give them something they don't like. I only end up with different fuels when someone is moving and can't take there fuel with them or some reason like that so I don't have a lot of odd ball fuels on hand very often. People seem to like the Vegas area for some reason and stay here?? Maybe it's the show girls????[8D]
