Armody,
The Toledo Show is THE trade show for RC flying. The show is in it's 56th year and this the event that most of the major manufacturers base their calendar around. It's an amazing event and if you want to spend an entire weekend submerged in the RC hobby this is the place to be!!!

Here is our coverage from last year's show to give you an idea of what goes on there.

Weak SIgnals 2009

Not making it this year but I am seriously considering 2011. I have the dates marked on my calendar and I hinted to the wife.

Haven"t been for a couple years but my son and I are going this year. My wife is being very understanding too because I'm leaving on her birthday. I'll make it up to her somehow.

And everybody else, remember that we all meet at the bottom of the big staircase by the Jefferson St entrance on Friday and Saturday at noon if anyone wants to join us for lunch.

Sounds like we're going to break our solemn oath and go back to Tony Packo's this year!

Well, it's a little late, but I'll add that I'm making the trek WITH Minnflyer... 14.5 hours in the van with my good buddy! The last time I made a trip like this I went to Southe Carolina with my wife over 10 years ago. I don't get out much... But hey that's all over now! Minn and I are leaving about 6:30 Weds evening with the hopes of getting into Toledo around noon on Thursday. Wish us luck!

I'm on the road so much for work and we spend a lot of our vacation time visiting the wife's family in the northeast so I just don't get enough time for the other traveling I want to do. Heck, the AMA show is just around 4 hours away from me but I've never made it there yet either. Definitely working on both the AMA and Toledo shows next year though.

Guys:
I'll be there this year for about the 20th time, but almost couldn't make it. Went out Monday PM to test fly a new Balsa USA Eindecker for the first time and somehow stuck my hand right thru the prop on a running OS90FS. This resulted in a trip to the ER here in Vincennes and an Ambulance ride to the hand center in Indy for tendon repair, pins put in and a bunch of stitches but after much pleading with the doc and wife I'm still going to make it. So if you see a guy with a Left arm / hand banged up just shake your head, but for God's sake don't say "How did a little model airplane do that" REMEMBER!!!! BE CAREFULL; don't do as I did do as I say. You would think someone who has been at this for 60 years would have learned by now that these things can bite bad.

I will be sure to not shake that hand. That old prop don't care how long you been flying. It says "screw up and I will get you"

Sorry to hear about the accident acobra...get well and take it easy. I almost had that accident the other day. Walked away from the plane to get my sunglasses, walked around the plane to the front to take out the glow driver (IDIOT I WASN'T THINKING[:@]) Luckily the engine was running at idle. I only felt the prop shave my knuckles as it touched and my hand was away in an instant. Only three cuts on my knuckles. It hurt like hell, but I still had to fly and so I did with blood dripping from my fingers lol. I still feel pain when I press on the knuckles hard enough and especially a cold day will make me remember about the stupid thing I did. Well lesson learned.

Yea, it happens so fast. Funny thing is it hurt like hell for about 30 seconds and no pain what so ever afterward, even now.

Yea, your body has an incredible way of cutting off pain signals. Sort of a built-in anesthetic

I would love to come, but the wife and sick kids would miss me too much, and I don't think I want to sleep in the dog house that much.

Next year, I hope
