How to get the fuel to the carb in a plane with a cowl?.
What I usually is give it full throtle, put my finger on the carb's mouth and the spin the prop a couple of times. This way I get the fuel to enter the carb and the engine start easilly, BUT what if the engine is inside a cowl and I can't get to the carb?... I'm having trouble staring my .61FX engine because of this.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Just put your finger over the muffler outlet hole...
It has the same effect as putting your finger over the carb.
If that doesn't work, just blow into the muffler pressure line a little...

BotleRocketWar, thanks.
So I give it full throtle and put my finger in the mufler hole and spin the engine. Just like I used to do except putting my finger on the mufler?-
I wish I could blow through the pressure line but I can´t cause the line is inside the cowl.
Since I´m using an easy fueler, I think that the long fuel line could be causing my engine not want to start. It usually takes a lot of priming...

You don't even have to open the throttle, just plug the exhaust and turn the prop over a few times. The engine acts like an air pump and puts pressure in the tank which drives the fuel up the intake line.

The muffler trick works. You may have to flip it more than a "few" times depending on the length of your fuel run. My students trainer takes about 10-12 flips before the fuel gets to the carburetor.
