Too heavy for Sig 4 Star 60?

The Evolution 15GX weighs 31oz. (15cc gas)

Is that too much weight in the nose for the Sig 4 Star 60?

I built my 4 star I remember it needed quite a bit of weight in the nose so I'd say your fine

My kit has a Magnum .91FS in the nose and needed 4oz up front to balance with battery placed behind firewall. Manual for my engine says 22.4oz w/ muffler. So with 8.6oz difference between the engines minus the 4oz dead weight I had to put in mine, I'd bet you could get it to balance with battery placement alone, without the need for dead weight.

Go for it! Tell us how it does. I think that would be a great combo. My experience is the same as mentioned above, have a magnum .80 in mine and still had to add weight to balance.:)

I have built a lot of the 4*60s and like everyone else they come out a little tail heavy. Last one used an OS two stroke and the one before that used the Saito 100. The plane doesn't require a lot of power but it does need the nose weight.
