First Build gone wrong
I need help! I am currently building my first plane and discovered an error in my build. While building my wings I chose to make it a clipped wing. I then put the wing together and realized I forgot to put in a spar at the very end making my already clipped wing into an extra clipped wing by one spar. Its a carl Goldburg 25 anniversay J-3 cub. Can I leave it or will this cause major problems while flying??

Not having a set of plans in front of me to visualize what you're saying, I'm going to guess that you mean to say "rib" instead of "spar"? If so, it shouldn't be too difficult to squeeze another rib in there. Are you able to upload pictures so we can better visualize what you're experiencing?
To answer your last question, you definitely don't want one wing longer than the other. |
I had a major brain fart. I picked up the wing after taking pins out and didn't line it up right when I put it back down. I did not screw it up. I'm laughing at myself right now cause it was stupid. Thanks for the reply I'm good to go!!!

Been there, done that, myself! LOL Glad things are good to go. The nice thing about kit planes are that most, if not all mistakes are fix-able, but sounds like you're back on track. Happy building!

There are very few ways to get things right, but the number of ways to get things wrong is unlimited!
Fortunately, most mistakes can be corrected. Even if you had made the mistake you thought you had, it would have been fixable. Jim |
