Just got a new (to me) boat
I guess like they say, one of the best 2 days of a boat owner's life...98 Stingray 230 SX, 502 EFI big block. Next summer I'll have some good Ace Seamaster footage up on youtube with it. Finally, a boat that can keep up with an R/C plane...

That's a nice one as well, I see you have the Hi Five prop. I had one of those on my first boat (1990 Invader B/R skiboat) ; really improved the holeshot while keeping most of the top end. I was also interested in a wakeboard tower; where did they mount it? Did you need to reinforce the laminate with some marine ply or anything like that? I also plan on using the boat mainly for wakeboarding and cruising, so I was contemplating using some type of waterballast system up in the front of the cuddy to make it plane faster and add weight. I refuse to install trim tabs, since they ruined my last Stingray, a 698 SVX w a 454. Here's a video I made of- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vd6rsPg0y6o All the holes for the tabs just leaked and turned the transom into a waterlogged mess, (previous owner did that, not me) so I blew it out on Ebay then bought the green boat.

You do not have to reenforce the back of were the tower mounts but most do anyway. We are putting plywood behind it. People with out it have not had any problems but just doing it for added strenth. Here is a link of those monster towers on stingrays. It is not all that important were to mount the as they can be mountes anyware from 48" to 60" front to back and will go wide 60" to 102". Here is the link to them on diffrent stingrays

You have to select stingray from the runabout catergory.
Half way down the stingray catergory there are photos of it on a 230 LX
